So this is the “about” section, huh? I guess you want some more info on who has been writing these fantastic blog posts then. That’s me, Jay Merrill, amateur blogger, cyclist, hiker, and general lover of anything outside of the comfort zone. I am a doctoral student at Oregon State University studying civil engineering and feel it’s where I’m meant to be.
This blog is about the many crazy and unexpected things life has waiting around the next bend. A post might entail life insights or just random thoughts on the world around us. I tend to find inspiration lurking behind the next breaking wave, behind a rock or tree in the wilderness, or in deep conversation over a coffee or beer.
